Business Central FAQs

Can you connect Business Central to our online store?

Yes. Items, item variants, prices and customer price groups, inventory by location, sales orders, shipments, invoices, and customers synced between Business Central and Magento 2, Shopify, BigCommerce, or WooCommerce via the BC APIs — with idempotent writes, retries, and monitoring. Read about our ERP integration approach.

Native Shopify connector or custom integration?

Business Central's built-in Shopify connector is fine for simple catalogs and standard pricing. Custom integration wins when you have customer-specific pricing, multiple locations, configurable items, B2B terms, or a non-Shopify storefront. We'll tell you which on the discovery call.

How much does a Business Central integration cost?

A point-to-point sync (e.g., BC → storefront inventory) starts around $10,000. Full order-to-cash integration with a storefront or CRM typically runs $25,000–$75,000. Power Automate/Power Apps work is often $5,000–$25,000 per app or flow set. See pricing.

Do you write AL extensions?

Yes — custom tables, pages, APIs, and event subscribers packaged as per-tenant extensions, so upgrades don't break them.

We're still on Dynamics NAV. Can you help?

We support the eCommerce, SharePoint, and Power Platform side of a NAV → Business Central move and rebuild integrations on BC's modern APIs. For the core ERP migration itself we work alongside your Microsoft partner.

Why Reed Dynamic for Business Central?

We sit at the intersection Business Central partners usually don't: the storefront, the CRM, SharePoint, and the middleware. Manufacturers and distributors across Southeast Michigan run BC; we make it talk to everything else.

What isn't Business Central talking to?

Storefront, CRM, warehouse, SharePoint — name it. We'll map the sync and quote it fixed-scope.
